The 5th Conference on Transition Metal Chalcogenide and Halide Nanostructures (TMCN 2011)
June 6-8, 2011
EPFL, Lausanne
Switzerland
Scope
Transition metal chalcogenides form a wealth of nanostructures including inorganic fullerenes, nanotubes, nanowires, 2D graphene-like layers and other interesting morphologies. This wide range of possible structures results in a wide variety of unique electronic, optical and chemical properties as well as applications as building blocks in electronics, catalysts, dry lubricants and composites. Related layered materials can provide complementary insights, ideas and methods that are applicable to transition metal dichalcogenides.
This meeting will bring together leading scientists in this field to discuss the latest results and future trends.
